Henry Raschen:: Raschen was born in Germany and immigrated with his family to Fort Ross, California in 1868.  He studied at the San Francisco Art Academy and later studied in Munich along with good friend Chase.  He became an important California Indian painter.  His major patron was Mrs. Phoebe Hearst.  He has a strong auction record up to $116,250 for a 45” x 67” painting.
