Born in 1881 in Detroit died in 1969 in Seattle. Studied at Detroit School of Fine Art and Yale with Perrault.  Member of Puget Sound Group Painter, Pacific Northwest Academy. Came to Cordova Alaska as an Episcopal missionary in 1909. Won numerous award in Northwest art exhibitions Works in Museums and collections throughout the country.
